John L. Scott Sponsors Miracle Makers Telethon

Press Release

For Immediate Release: June 19, 2007

Volunteers help raise $192,000 for uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital

Seattle, WA - On June 2, 2007, the John L. Scott Foundation presented a check for $25,000 to Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center during KOMO 4 TV’s “Miracle Makers Telethon”. In addition to the donation, John L. Scott helped raise $192,000 in donations and corporate matching by taking pledges from callers. Thanks to generous donations, this was a 7% increase from last year’s total dollars raised.
The evening was highlighted by touching stories from patients past and present who have been helped by Children’s Hospital. Several John L. Scott agents and employees volunteered their time to answer phones and take pledges during the John L. Scott “Miracle Match” hour. All proceeds will benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital’s uncompensated care fund, which guarantees that no child is turned away, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
