Seattle - On May 24th, 2007 the John L. Scott Foundation hosted its 3rd Annual Charity Poker Tournament to raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Attended by more than 100 players and 50 spectators, the event raised over $14,000 with the help of sponsors: Response Mortgage, Rainier Title, American Home Shield, Compass Relocation Services, Think Thank You, NuMark, JPC Architects and Maggiano’s.
John L. Scott agents, brokers, sales associates, and their families paid $100 each to compete in a Texas Hold’em style poker tournament where the grand prize included entry to the annual Warren Moon/Steve Pool Celebrity Poker Tournament on July 16th in Seattle. Winning placement also included a one night stay at the Westin Hotel in Bellevue, dinner for two at Maggiano’s, and movie tickets for two.
John L. Scott raised additional funds through the sale of raffle tickets and an auction hosted by KOMO 4 Weatherman, Steve Pool, which saw players bidding upwards of $600 to have lunch with J. Lennox Scott.
All money raised will go to the John L. Scott Foundation which benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
