Miracle Season Telethon-December 10, 2006Seattle, WA12/10/06-The 9th Annual Holiday Miracle Season Telethon was held on December 10th, 2006 on KOMO television. The event raised $142,000 in pledges and sponsorships. This is a $12,000 increase from last year's telthon. It was the ninth year that the John L. Scott Foundation has been the major sponsor of the Holiday Miracle Season television special, which raises money to help ensure that all children have access to medical care regardless of a family’s ability to pay. The Holiday Miracle Season featured KOMO 4 newscasters Kathi Goertzen and Steve Pool as well as patients from Children’s Hospital. The telethon featured motivating stories from the patients and highlighted how Children’s Hospital has impacted their lives. |
