Cooks for Kids-July 4th Seatte, WA The John L. Scott Foundation sponsored an exceptional event, “Cooks for Kids”, on July 4th atop Smith Tower in the Chinese Room as a fundraiser to support the Atlantic Street Center and the invaluable programs they offer. The event raised over $2,500. Atlantic Street Center was founded in 1910 and annually serves over 3000 children, youth, and families in Seattle. Guests for the evening will enjoy hors d’oeuvres by McCormick and Schmick’s Catering and music by Steve Roy Latin Trio, with an opportunity to participate in an auction of outstanding cooking and food-related items. The evening will provide an incomparable vantage point for the spectacular fireworks displays around the Puget Sound area while raising funds through the auction proceeds and ticket sales to support the Atlantic Street Center.
